MX Platform

A proprietary platform for application-specific systems
MX converts demanding performance requirements into differentiated electronic architectures. It is not a single device, material stack or one-market product. It is a reusable development platform that connects physical modelling, interface engineering, protected design, prototyping and measurement.

What partners bring — and what MX builds
A program begins with a challenge that standard solutions cannot adequately address: a signal that must remain observable, a dynamic response that must be preserved, or a physical boundary that limits system performance. MX translates that requirement into governing functions and an application-specific architecture.

Development path

Define: establish the measurable requirement, operating constraints and validation criteria.
Architect: model the relevant transport, charge, transient, admittance and readout functions.
Protect: identify proprietary architectures and defensible technology assets.
Prototype: develop test structures and application-specific demonstrators.
Validate: compare experimental behaviour with reference structures and agreed metrics.
Transfer: prepare the most credible route toward joint development, licensing or industrial integration.

Technology assets
The platform combines scientific models, protected architectures, internal fabrication and prototyping workflows, and an experimental validation method. Each program can generate a distinct solution while strengthening a shared engineering capability.

Where MX can create value
MX addresses systems where weak, fast or difficult physical information must survive an interface. Prospective fields include semiconductor interfaces, advanced sensing, photonics, cryogenic and quantum components, and space instrumentation. The application determines the architecture.

Scientific Foundation
A system cannot use what its measurement chain cannot preserve.
MX begins by identifying the physical information that must remain observable. It then engineers the interface and readout functions required to preserve that information across the complete system.

First platform program
MX-QCell converts the MX method into a testable architecture and validation path while leaving the platform open to other product categories.

Evidence and intellectual property
The scientific foundation includes Front-End Bandwidth and Observability Limits in Confined Electronic Systems, Journal of Applied Physics 139, 224301 (2026). DOI: 10.1063/5.0326591. An Italian patent application was filed on 13 January 2026, with a European extension strategy in preparation. A second manuscript is being refined for submission.

Current status — August 2026
MX is at a pre-demonstrator research and development stage. Its scientific basis and initial intellectual property are established; fabrication and prototyping capability is being developed; and the decisive device-level measurements have not yet been completed. No unvalidated performance claim is presented as a commercial result.

Partnership opportunities
For organisations facing a defined performance constraint, engagement may include feasibility studies, sponsored research, joint development, technology transfer or licensing, subject to technical fit and validation.
